First implemented in Japan, the Hori Hori Classic digging tool was originally used for careful and methodical excavating of plants, such as Sansai, in the mountains. Barebones’ unique take on this classic implement was designed with garden work in mind. Its rounded top and serrated sides make it ideal for scooping, digging, and pulling weeds.

Equipped with a heat-tempered, hollowback blade, full stainless steel tang, and comfortable walnut handle, the Barebones Hori Hori Classic is the diverse garden tool you can use for a lifetime. Intentionally added twine cutter doubles as a bottle opener, so you can enjoy your choice of refreshing beverage after a hard day's work.

The Hori Hori Classic Sheath unites utility and design. Made of 900D polyester with an interior liner, it weathers real-world use while protecting the blade from dulling. Stainless steel belt clip supports easy carrying and accessibility, while the strong handle strap restricts the blade from slipping or moving. Open-end allows for easy cleaning and prevents soil buildup, preserving the blade for years of continued use.

Great garden tool

This is one of the best garden things I have purchased. If your like me, I garden by doing what I see in that minute. This knife is so handy to have on hand. From cutting, to digging, to chipping away at dirt or lifting pavers - I love it. You really need the sheath for it though. It was out of stock when I got mine.

Good value

Good service and delivery, the product overall is definitely worth the money and I've put it to good use. The twine cutter is pretty poor but it makes for a good bottle opener. The smooth side of the knife isn't that sharp and required quite a bit of touching up before I could easily cut anything, however the serrated side is good and for a digging tool that has the capacity for basic knife functions I think it's great.

Brilliant!

The hori hori is currently wrapped and ready to gift to my sister in law. I was gifted a hori hori a few years ago, absolutely LOVE it and thought it would be perfect for a gardener's 50th present. I think she will love it.

a great quality Hori Hori

Only 4 stars due to the sheath being good but not great. (I think an awesome leather sheath would make the product significantly more expensive so there's that) for the price this hori hori is way better than my other that was similar in price. Full tang, so I can leave bricks and other things in the garden, very handy. A great blade that can be sharpened and repaired for years to come. Should all round build quality, I will use this for many years and have already put it through its paces and it did not disappoint!
