A true Korean Youngju Homi hand-forged by master blacksmith Seok No-Ki, this Korean hand hoe (plough) is forged from spring steel and features a hazelwood handle.

Used for opening the soil as well as myriad other gardening tasks, the homi was first constructed over 5,000 years ago during the Bronze Age, and is still as popular today.

Pronounced 'hoe-mee', meaning 'little ground spear', this versatile tool is generally used as an extension of the hand for all manner of tasks from digging and planting, to weeding and seed sowing.

Great tool for a great price.

My wife gave her last homi when we moved into an apartment. Now we have moved to a retirement villa and we have a garden again and we looked around online to get another homi. The Backyard Botanist had just what we needed. The price was great and the delivery was prompt. The homi is well made and is such a useful tool for planting out our new garden.

I was given one of these tools by a friend many years ago and continue to use it regularly to this day as a home gardener (fruit and veg). An amazingly tough and versatile tool, my favorite. I bought this new one from you to keep with a garden at a separate location for convenience. This new one is strong and well made (I had tried cheaper ones that snapped under load) but my criticism is in the design, which has the 'spade' part angled too greatly back towards the handle.
